My approach

Professional background

My name is Migle Povilenaite and my mission is to bring emotional education to every person, team and school. With a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology, years in education technology startups designing learning tools, and behavioural science research experience, I bring together deep psychological insight and evidence-based strategies. I use my expertise to make sure that my sessions are grounded both in compassion and science—and conducive to creating genuine change.

Cross-cultural experience

I grew up in Lithuania, worked and earned my degrees in the Netherlands and the United Kingdom, and now call Portugal home—so I do not just understand different cultures, I have lived them. This means I bring a nuanced, cross-cultural perspective to emotional education, recognizing how identity, belonging, and adaptation shape our emotional worlds. I help you develop emotional flexibility, so you can thrive in uncertainty, connect across differences, and feel at home in every part of your life.

My approach

My work is grounded in somatic and contemplative practices, integrating mindfulness, mind-body connection, and interoceptive awareness—our ability to recognise and understand sensations in our bodies, to connect more profoundly with our emotions, and to respond to them with greater clarity and insight.

Individual approach

I provide a compassionate space to help you explore your challenges, needs and desires—getting unstuck, and getting equipped with the tools to create a sustainable, meaningful change. Sessions may include a variety of different modalities which are implemented to achieve realistic and specific goals, working on emotional awareness, emotional regulation, and emotional resilience, by applying:

  • Cognitive strategies, such as cognitive restructuring, help us focus on identifying and changing thought patterns that no longer serve us, leading to a more flexible perspective and to more balanced emotional experiences.
  • Behavioural strategies, such as behavioural activation, help us to break the pattern of avoidance and create a plan for engaging with activities that encourage building coping skills and meaning-making.
  • Interoceptive strategies, such as body scans and other mindfulness techniques, help us to tune into physical sensations, understanding how our bodies communicate emotional shifts and learning how to detect distress early—and how to respond with ease.

Together we create a care plan that is structured, unique to you, and achievable. Get in touch to have your first exploratory session.
